Why Hampton Township needs walls done right
Eighties-era timber walls are still standing all over Hampton Township — but most of them shouldn't be. Pressure-treated 6×6 was supposed to last 25-30 years and many of these walls are now well past that. The wood looks fine from a distance, but the geogrid (if it was installed at all) is degraded, the drainage is clogged, and the wall is leaning more every year.
